Tableau's #Data20 Exhibit Hall - This Week Only!
This year, Tableau’s Annual Conference was hosted online but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t feel full-on chills perusing the virtual gallery featuring the works of 31 incredible data visualization experts that were carefully curated by the Tableau team. I’ll never forget seeing similar works in person at the 2018 Tableau Conference in New Orleans printed and life-sized. But this online gallery has the perk of being available to all of you through the end of this week! Below are two of my favorite vizzes to look out for as you “walk” through. If you want to see the vizzes themselves with more detail, click on the pictures or titles below to visit the pages on Tableau Public. Make sure to visit before Friday, October 16th!
Spices of India by Meera Umasankar
Who can you thank for your classy turmeric lattes or fragrant rice puddings? India, where according to Meera Umasankar’s beautiful masterpiece, 75 percent of the world’s spices come from. Feeling festive? Order your favorite dish (mine would be Saag Paneer) and check out the rest of the viz by clicking on the photo above.
Stamps in my Passport by Kimly Scott
The beautiful teal coloration alone is not the only reason I love this viz by Kimly Scott. I read that she and her husband got engaged in Kyoto, Japan - my favorite city - and returned to Japan for their honeymoon! We will all be able to travel again and even though the experience will inevitably be different, it’s something to anticipate. Where do you want to go?
Both of these ladies are on Twitter so please feel free to give @ScottKimly and/or @LosaniMeera your feedback and accolades! The whole viz gallery is worth your time and attention so don’t forget to stop over there before the link expires on Friday, October 16th.
