Introducing: #DataHired Weekly!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I’m writing this message to you in the form of a blog post to reflect the countless hours I’ve sat around wondering how to make more use of the powerful network of data-driven people that I’m constantly building and proud to have.

I enjoy connecting newcomers to the field to my friends whom I know are interested in mentoring. Often, I’ll find two practitioners of similar levels and interests who might consider partnering on a project now or in the future. But I’ve realized - there’s no need to keep my network stowed away until it’s directly called upon by a given situation. Why not be proactive and regularly share it with you?

Every week in this newsletter going forward, I will be sharing a job opportunity in the data science field for which I can PERSONALLY recommend any of you to the poster if you so choose to reach out with your interest.

The weekly job of my choice will have its own section at the bottom of each newsletter under the heading: “#DataHired Weekly.”

So what can you do if you’re interested in the job on any given week? Don’t at all hesitate to email me at dikayo@dikayodata.com, message me through my LinkedIn profile, or tweet at me to @DiKayoData using the hashtag #DataHired. I will see all of the above and get back to you.

If you’re on the flip-side as a job poster, feel free to reach out to me at any of the above channels with a link to your posting and any information you would like to provide. Many companies have contacted me through my Twitter DMs and I’ve developed a starting roster of jobs from that.

The end takeaway is that looking for a job or the right candidate for one does NOT have to be as daunting as we make it out to be! We can all help each other. I will be posting jobs of various experience levels and across sectors of the industry to accommodate different talents and interests, but if there’s a type of posting you haven’t seen yet and would like to see, give me a holler and I’ll be on the lookout.
